There's not much future in newspapers

A great read from Clay Shirky at Medium on the future (or lack of future) for newspapers.

Contrary to the contrived ignorance of media reporters, the future of the daily newspaper is one of the few certainties in the current landscape: Most of them are going away, in this decade.

It's a bit of a scary tale, as someone who grew up reading the daily paper as a teenager. However there is more news to read than ever before.

Newspapers are dead. Long live the news.
